Why Did You Become An Attorney? – Colton Schneider

I’m Colton Schneider. I’m an attorney here at Feller & Wendt. I’m the managing attorney of our Idaho operations based out of Meridian, Idaho, a suburb of Boise, Idaho.
I’m a member of the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association. I am also a member of the Young Lawyers Association, and last year, I was awarded by the National Trial Lawyers Association Top 40 under 40 for the state of Idaho.
I became a lawyer because I’ve always been fascinated by the law. One thing that I find so interesting about the law is it’s so pervasive. No matter what you’re doing, whether you’re driving on the road, whether you’re going to work, whether you’re getting married, is the law is involved in some capacity. It guides what we do on a day-to-day basis, and it guides and progresses with us throughout our whole life. From the day you’re born till the day you pass on, the law is an unavoidable guide in our life.
And I find that fascinating and it couples well with another passion of mine, and that’s people. I like working with people. I like talking to people. I like learning about people and helping people. And so it’s a gift for me as an attorney to be able to help people through an element of their life that can be so confusing and so pervasive. So that’s why I decided to become an attorney.
