Why Did You Become an Attorney? – Brian Hansen

The first thing that piqued my interest in the law was something that happened to my brother. He ended up getting fired for what we all thought was a really horrible thing. And when it happened, he had one baby that was like less than two years old, another baby on the way. He lost all his benefits, you know, he was devastated and, and worried and scared, and we were all like, well, how do we fight back against this? So that was the first time I was like, maybe I could be our attorney and, and kind of be the person who knows this stuff. And that same week I was actually at a job fair at the University of Utah and went to one of the tables and they were giving out a free LSAT prep course. So I put my name into the drawing. There was like 500 people that put into the drawing, and I won. And I took that as a sign that I should, I should pursue it and become a lawyer. And so that injustice to my brother is what piqued my interest, and the rest is history.
