Community Crowdfunding Support for Family of Graduate Lost in Motorcycle Accident

In Phoenix, a young motorcyclist, 18-year-old Carrigan Jones, tragically lost his life on February 27 after crashing into a light pole. Jones, a recent La Costa Canyon High School graduate and a student at Grand Canyon University, was riding westbound on Camelback Road at the time of the fatal accident. Phoenix police Sgt. The other incidents claimed the lives of a bicyclist, a pedestrian hit by two separate cars, and a single-car crash victim. These events underline the dangers present on the roadways and the necessity for vigilance and safety among all travelers.

The young man is survived by his mother, Dawn Jones, an instructional assistant who has served the students of La Costa Canyon High School for over a decade. The loss of her son has elicited a wave of support from the community, as reflected in the contributions to a GoFundMe campaign. The campaign was organized to assist with funeral costs and other expenses associated with this unexpected loss. The fundraiser has already garnered substantial donations, nearing its goal of $15,000.

The GoFundMe page honors Carrigan’s memory by stating: “Dawn received the devastating call that her beloved son Carrigan Jones went to be with the Lord after a
